Resume Distribution Services

There are a number of companies who will email and/or fax your resume to recruiters and hiring managers.

All of the comments below are based on 6 years experience as a recruiter and a year long test where we signed up for and recieved "all resumes", all categories, no restrictions, from every resume distribution service we could find (over a dozen).

Based on this, using a resume distribution or "resume blasting" service has advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages

Your resume will, indeed, be sent to thousands of recruiters. How many depends on a number of factors, such as what specialties and geographical areas you choose and how many recruiters have signed up with a particular service. Recruiters do indeed know many hiring managers and are in a position to fill many of jobs which are often never advertised.
